Electricfor opens a new extension of its logistic warehouse for electric heating elements (17/12/2019)

Electricfor has just inaugurated a new logistics warehouse at its Rubí corporate headquarters, where the company has been designing and producing electric heating elements since 1974. It is a new unique space whose purpose is to manage the reception of materials and expeditions. To celebrate its start-up, the company organized a meal of employees and partners last week that had a very special final touch: the performance of the comedian and broadcaster Edgar Hita.

The current reform follows a previous one carried out twenty years ago. On that occasion, three 350-square-meter plants were built that resulted in an improvement of different departments such as the technical office, marketing or production. In this case, the new extension converts the Electricfor warehouse into a large area of 1260 square meters that will mark a before and after in the logistics of the company.

In an industrial manufacturing company with a strong international character such as Electricfor, it is vitally important to have a well-organized space that facilitates maximum control of the entire manufacturing, installation, commissioning and maintenance process of its entire product range. A good logistics system to integrate provisioning, production and physical distribution allows companies to be more profitable and sustainable, in their search for a perfect combination of efficiency, effectiveness and effectiveness. That is why a better implemented warehouse represents an improvement in Electricfor's productivity by reducing the displacement between the different locations where picking is carried out, for example.

Faced with an increasingly competitive and demanding world, Electricfor wants to provide an increasingly agile response to the heating element manufacture market. The company aim is also to maintain an optimal balance between the supply chain and the logistics network with customers and suppliers from the engineering and industrial machinery sector, as well as the hydraulic, gas and oil, refrigeration and renewable energy sectors.
