Electric heaters are commonly used in the production process of chlorine, sodium hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid to keep brine (sodium chloride in aqueous solution) at a suitable temperature inside tanks or reactors. Inside them, an electrolysis process is carried out. Thanks to the passage of electric current, the brine is decomposed.
Heating the brine accelerates the rate of reaction. By controlling that its working temperature remains always within certain ranges, the efficiency of the entire process is also improved, guaranteeing the quality and consistency of the final chemical products. For this reason, the temperature regulation that our equipment incorporates is so important.
Electricfor electric heaters have been designed and manufactured to comply with adequate safety and chemical resistance regulations, taking into account that they are exposed to corrosive chemical products.
The materials of both electrical resistances (tubular elements), as well as deflectors and flange, are alloys capable of withstanding the medium to be heated. The flange is internally stiffened along its entire length with heating elements to prevent expansion and fluid movement from altering its structure. In addition, the connection box has IP66 protection, which prevents the penetration of moisture and external gases inside.
